Synopsis
In this emotionally jarring Emmy-winning documentary, acclaimed filmmaker Rory Kennedy uses direct, personal narratives of perpetrators, witnesses and victims to probe the effects of the abuses at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq in 2003. Photos from the prison were leaked to the press and images were plastered across the world. Amidst the outrage within the US and abroad, many asked who was to blame. Was it the soldiers? Their superior officers? Or could these abuses be traced all the way to the top.
